⚡️⚖️ Frank Richard Ahlgren III, a Texan accused of failing to report his true gains from Bitcoin, has been sentenced to two years in prison and $1,095,031 in restitution.

He was charged with tax offenses related to the sale of #Bitcoin worth $4 million. Ahlgren transferred Bitcoins to multiple wallets, then engaged in peer-to-peer transactions and used crypto mixers to conceal the flow of funds.

This is the first case of tax fraud purely related to crypto in the United States, following a conviction.
