⚡️🤖 NEW - Silicon Valley billionaires launch $100M super PAC to back “pro-AI” politicians in 2026
▪️The Washington Post reports on a new group called Leading the Future, which will fund candidates who support rapid AI expansion — and target those seen as slowing down development. Early backers include OpenAI president Greg Brockman, his wife Anna, and venture capital giant Andreessen Horowitz, which also backed Trump in 2024.
▪️Modeled after the crypto super PAC Fairshake, the group aims to “sideline AI doomers” pushing for stricter regulation, while boosting policies favorable to Big Tech, like protecting copyright scraping and building massive data centers.
▪️The PAC will operate nationally but also target state-level fights in New York, California, Illinois, and Ohio, where lawmakers have debated restrictions on AI and infrastructure development.
▪️“Lawmakers just have to know there’s $100 million waiting to fund attack ads,” said Chris MacKenzie of Americans for Responsible Innovation, warning the PAC could reshape Congress much like crypto money did in 2024. (DropSite)
